A leading UK retail bank is looking for a Business Analyst to work on a mortgages project based in Barnwood, Gloucester.

You will be responsible for leading a review and update of all impacted finance processes and will be accountable for the following key deliverables:

Complete a review of all existing processes. Ensure full documentation is produced to support a process inventory

Conduct an impact assessment for those processes for all changes arising from the Migrations project

Determine changes required to processes, financial controls and reports for those impacted. Agree those changes with existing line management and SME's

Ensure full testing of processes through all phases of testing ie BAT, UAT, Proving Cycles, Dress Rehearsals and Live Events

Manage the implementation of changes, including necessary training, and stakeholder management, including SOX, Internal Audit and External Audit

To be considered you will be an experienced Business Analyst and part qualified accountant from a financial services background. You will also possess excellent process mapping skills. Knowledge and experience of mortgages and mortgage platforms would be highly advantageous.

Our client is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to research, design, and develop small to medium computer software systems, in conjunction with hardware product development. Works with the customer, suppliers and consultants providing direction and information on specific programs and projects.

Key Responsibilities

Designs and develops small to medium sized software systems.
Develops and directs software system testing procedures, programming, and documentation.
Analyses software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints.
Mentor junior staff
Consults with hardware engineers and other engineering staff to evaluate interface between hardware and software, and operational and performance requirements of overall system.

Reviews and suggests the use of new technologies, cost saving techniques/materials.

Personal attributes

Should have extensive software engineering experience.
Must have strong C# .NET 3.5/4.0
Experience of WPF, or Silverlight is desirable
Experience of IP and VoIP protocols would be highly advantageous
Must show a determination to make it happen', an out of the box thinker who can follow ideas and projects through to completion and who will always deliver on their commitments.
Experience of Agile (Scrum) development methodologies is desirable
Ideally Degree educated (2:1 or above) in any engineering/science discipline although software engineering would be highly advantageous, (relevant experience could be substituted in some cases) coupled with a track record of successful software development
