Reporting to the Engineering Project Manager the role will be based in the design office and support design reviews cost down initiatives and customer requests for price reductions, by working with the design team to proactively balancing function and cost. 
 
The role will involve managing cost out projects through the design office and supply chain in order to validate potential cost saving. 
 
Taking cost saving ideas through initial evaluation and assessment to fully validated detail designs. Working with the whole engineering team to identify the non recuring cost associated with any changes proposed, through the assessment of risks and qualification testing required to bring, ideas to full maturity.

Qualifications and Requirements for the role include: 
* Track record in delivering cost out within and engineering environment 
* Literate in Microsoft office applications (Excel/Word/Powerpoint), 
* Analysis and systems know how to extract costs of existing products and analyse them. 
* Understand manufacturing processes - how long they take, what additional treatments are likely to be required. Knowledge of both metallic and composite manufacturing. 
* Motivated self-starter able to effectively communicate at all levels.

Role Criteria

The Chef de Partie will have a some understanding of all aspects of food operations within a successful country house hotel including breakfast, afternoon teas and conference and banqueting.
