About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and motivated Practice Nurse to join a friendly and well-established GP Surgery in Worcester.

Serving a patient population of approximately 6,000 patients, the practice prides itself on delivering high-quality, patient-centred care within a supportive and collaborative environment. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a nurse looking to develop their career within Primary Care while maintaining a healthy work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

As a Practice Nurse, you will be responsible for:

• Delivering childhood and adult immunisations
• Administering travel vaccinations
• Running health promotion and wellbeing clinics
• Undertaking cervical screening (smears)
• Ear care and irrigation
• Phlebotomy and venepuncture
• Wound care and dressings
• ECG recording
• Suture removal
• Assessing and managing minor illnesses within your scope of practice
• Supporting minor surgery clinics
• Providing emergency care when required, including CPR and anaphylaxis management
• Maintaining accurate clinical records and ensuring compliance with clinical governance standards
• Supporting quality improvement initiatives and practice development

Essential Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

? Registered Nurse (RGN) qualification with current NMC registration
? Minimum 2 years' post-registration experience
? Previous experience working within a GP Surgery, Primary Care, or Community setting
? Experience managing chronic diseases within Primary Care
? Competency in:

• Immunisations
• Cervical Screening (Smears)
• Ear Care
• Phlebotomy

? Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
? Strong organisational skills and ability to work independently
? A proactive and patient-focused approach to care

Desirable Skills

? Diabetes Management experience
? Minor Illness assessment and treatment experience
? Experience supporting long-term condition management clinics
